Portable ESD Wrist Strap Tester
SKU :
The SK-903 is a portable ESD wrist strap tester designed to check the resistance path through an operator, wristband and coil cord. LOW, GOOD and HIGH indicators provide an immediate test result, helping operators verify their wrist strap grounding system before entering or starting work in an ESD-protected area.
Specification and Data
The SK-903 Portable ESD Wrist Strap Tester provides a quick and convenient method for checking an operator’s wrist strap grounding circuit.
To perform a test, the operator wears the wrist strap, connects the coil cord to the tester and presses the metal touch plate. The device then evaluates the resistance path through the operator, wristband and coil cord.
The LOW, GOOD and HIGH indicators allow the operator to identify whether the tested circuit is below, within or above the tester’s specified resistance limits.
Unlike a continuous wrist strap monitor, which remains connected at a workstation throughout the working process, the SK-903 performs an individual test each time the operator activates the touch plate. It is suitable for daily wrist strap verification at ESD-protected-area entrances, electronics assembly stations, repair benches, laboratories and quality-control areas.

How to Test an ESD Wrist Strap
1.Wear the wrist strap so that the conductive inner surface makes secure contact with bare skin.
2.Connect the wrist strap coil cord to the designated input on the SK-903 tester.
3.Press and hold the metal test plate.
4.Check the LED result:
- LOW indicates that the measured resistance is below the lower test limit.
- GOOD indicates that the grounding circuit is within the specified pass range.
- HIGH indicates that the measured resistance is above the upper test limit or that the circuit may be open.
5.Release the touch plate after recording the result.
If the result is LOW or HIGH, inspect the wristband fit, skin contact, coil cord, connector and built-in safety resistor before repeating the test.
