ESD Utility Knife

SKU : SK-SC01

The SKESD ESD utility knife is an anti-static cutting tool designed for electronics manufacturing, PCB assembly, ESD Protected Areas (EPA), laboratories and other static-controlled production environments.

The cutter features an ESD ABS housing with a surface resistance of 10⁵–10⁸ Ω and an 18 mm stainless-steel blade. It is suitable for general cutting tasks around electronics production workstations, including cutting tapes, films, paper, cardboard and packaging materials.

With a compact 165 mm design and replaceable utility blade, this anti-static box cutter provides a practical cutting solution for production, packaging, assembly, repair and maintenance applications where electrostatic control is required.

Why Use an ESD Utility Knife in an EPA?

Conventional utility knives commonly use standard plastic housings that are not specifically designed for electrostatic control.

In an ESD Protected Area, tools and workstation accessories should be selected according to the company’s ESD control program and the sensitivity of the devices being handled.

The SKESD ESD utility knife uses an ESD ABS housing with a surface resistance of 10⁵–10⁸ Ω, making it more suitable for static-controlled work environments than a conventional plastic box cutter without specified electrical properties.

It can be used alongside other ESD workstation products such as grounding equipment, ESD mats, wrist straps, anti-static tweezers and ESD brushes.

Applications of the ESD Utility Knife

The ESD utility knife is designed for general cutting work in electronics manufacturing and static-controlled production environments.
